"No Man is an Island" is a classic poem that is incredibly relevant for PCMS students. This is a poem that suggests that not only are we a family, relying on one another, but that we are never alone. Currently, all the students are embarking on a new journey. sixth graders are becoming seventh graders and seventh graders are growing up to be eighth graders!
In this time of change, it's important to remember the essence of Chrysalis: that we are a family who sticks together. We do not knock each other down; we pick each other up!
Times change, people grow, but families remain.

ReplyDeleteI like this poem a lot. I think this little writing does relate to the PCMS students because every cornor you turn you will hear The PCMS Family and that is excatly what we are, so I totally agree with this!
ReplyDeleteI think you are right about that a person is never by itself because it always has family or reliable person. It also reminds me of us 8th graders because when one of us goes down we all go down together.
ReplyDeleteWell this poem is a little hard to understand but you sure haved explained it. This is a new year which means a new start and I do hope our "family" does become stronger and that we have a great year. The poem is true because even though we might not feel like we're not part of the family somehow we are. The poem was very sraight forward and I hope everyone sees that they are part of this family.

I believe that this poem does speak a lot about us PCMS kids as a family. No one should be left behind all alone without anyone to count on. We should always stick together and set aside our problems.
